In 1987 Down Under I met my writing coach, Lenel Moulds. He encouraged, inspired, and challenged me, but he also showed me how to be a better writer. Because of his coaching, I persevered to finish Cuckoo Forevermore which was first published in 1996. Since that time, I have had other books published, but I realized that writing is both art and therapy. It reveals what is hidden so we can see what we think and feel. Most importantly, it takes us home to our authentic self.

“To my friend and mentor, Leonard Szymczak—writing coach extraordinaire—you are single handedly responsible for taking my writing up several notches and I cannot thank you enough! Your guidance and support has been invaluable.” Margerite Bonnett, author of Let It Go: 12 New Steps for Tapping the Power of Your Mind
“I am grateful to my writing coach, Leonard Szymczak, who good-naturedly showed me how to awaken my prose and who made writing fun.” R. M. Morgan, author of 3 books including Cherokee Emerald
“I want to thank Leonard Szymczak for showing me the ropes of getting the book to print. Without Leonard’s counsel, comments, and feedback in the late innings, I’d probably still be writing.” Chris Hawn, author of Destination Success
“Leonard’s ability to cut through my order of ideas to make my concept ‘pop’ is nothing short of miraculous. His years of experience as a therapist and his insightfulness combine to make him see more in my writing than I see myself, making my writing richer.” Karin Crilly, author of The Blue Satin Nightgown
“I want to acknowledge Leonard Szymczak for the many hours he spent attempting to understand what my life was all about. Once we got to know each other, I knew I had the right person for my memoir. His curiosity and unceasing research helped me better understand myself and the times in which I lived. He made it easier to relive my past. The process of writing this book brought back many memories, some of which were locked inside. With his grace and understanding, I learned how to unlock and appreciate them. Because of his help, I can now move forward with no more silence to bear and no more secrets to keep.” Yvonne Carson-Cardozo, author of Silence and Secrets: A Jewish Woman’s Tale of Escape, Survival and Love in World War II
“Working with Leonard has been one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. I get a writing and a therapy session in each of our calls. Leonard is a motivator, a nurturer, and a compassionate soul. When I feel stuck, he talks me through it and helps me get back to writing. He’s taught me to get past the fluff and write naked, to really write the core, emotional feelings and experiences. Leonard will be as invested in your project as you are and will, without a doubt, inspire your best work!” Carole Billingsley, Houston, TX
“Heartfelt gratitude to Leonard Szymczak. He has the gift of weaving words in a manner that captures the heart and the mind. His analytic abilities and command of the language are incredible. His encouragement and support have been immensely helpful. I am forever grateful and acknowledge his important role in developing my own writing abilities.” Susan Robertson, Mission Viejo, CA
